I am a printing broker and would like to set up a vendor booth in Utah. Selling anything that can be printed on for advertising and promotional needs. Do I need to be able to provide printing and imaging services and solutions/I live in AZ and will be in UT for a weekend convention?

What GA sales tax law, you will need a seller's permit AKA sales tax ID to sell merchandise for your Online Selling.



To buy  Merchandise and  accessories  wholesale, you need a sales tax id also called a seller's permit.



The way that works is after you get the seller's permit, you use the resale certificate that comes with the permit to fax or email  a signed copy to the wholesaler, and then you can buy wholesale.



Then you need the permit number so you can remit the sales tax you collect from your sales on Amazon and eBay.  You also need additional licenses to run your online business.



So you need at least a DBA, LLC or corporation, the seller's permit for that and as a business, a business license and an EIN.



If you hire people to help you, you need to open an employer withholding account and that requires a state employer ID as well as a federal tax ID to pay withholding taxes for your employees.

Answer: First, Heat Pressing Clothing, Hats, And Accessories, are subject to sales tax, so you need a seller's permit. In addition, "Crafted b y Candie, LLC," must be registered with an LLC articles  of organization, and also an execution of an LLC operating agreement.  You can obtain all of these here online.  You also need a business license and an EIN. .

You also need an Accessories business tax registration license and a assumed business name if you have a  retail business name.   More than 31% of the GNP, though, less than $5,000,000.00 is generated through retail sales business. Where to Find   Accessories to Buy the Wholesale at a Low Price

       Thanks to the global explosion of trade, you can now buy your accessories wholesale from as far as China and South Korea, eBay, e-commerce websites, online classifieds, and online stores. Likewise, you can buy them in the global market, but you can also sell them in the same market. Of course, shipping is expensive but with a little creativity, you can figure out how to bulk up the shipping, so you can save on shipping costs.


You can choose to be a(n) Interne sales :

  • Sole Proprietor,
  • LLC,
  • Corporation or
  • Partnership.
    After you decide and select your business entity, you need licensing.



Henderson Business Tax Registration ( Business License)
All businesses including home, online or mobile BUSINESS need a BUSINESS license because they are BUSINESSES.



A(n) Interne sales business doing business under an assumed business name in Clark County i.e. you are a business that uses a DBA doing business as trade name to trade that is other than the full legal (first and last -- full name) name of a sole proprietor or a name other than the LLC or Corporation business name need a(n) assumed business name certificate.   E.g. you venture into a(n) Interne sales business and you give it a trade name such as "Excellence Interne sales & Associates". You will need to register an assumed business name certificate.

In NV you need a resale ID ( AKA seller's permit) if you selling touchable items.  (A.K.A state id, wholesale, resale, reseller certificate, about $39 for most states).

Note: All businesses need a federal tax ID number except sole proprietors that are not employers and are not independent contractors.
An independent contractor is a self employed business person that receives more than $600 per year from anyone of his or her clients.
IRS rule: The client must issue a 1099 form to the independent contractor and the independent contractor must have a federal tax ID. However, even sole owners may obtain a federal ID and use it as a business tax ID instead of using their own social security number as a business tax ID number.
However, all other licenses that apply to sole proprietors as discussed here are requited regardless of getting a federal tax ID number.


In addition you will need a federal and a state EIN if you will hire employees. I.e., a NV Federal Tax Id Number ($29)  and a(n) NV  State Employer Tax Number  


Instead of filing a fictitious business name DBA Filing (about $49 plus state and legal newspaper publication fees) in Henderson, Incorporate in NV  or form a(n) NV LLC


Filing a DBA is not required if you will set up an LLC or form a Corporation. If you will do business under your first and last legal name you will not need to get a fictitious business name.
Also note that even using your first and last name may not help you avoid filing a DBA if the name has a suffix such as "& sons" etc.



If you do form an Retail Trade llc or incorporate (about $49 plus state fees for most states) your Interne sales business instead of just filing a fictitious business name (dba), that insurs that you don't have personal liability for debts and civile liabililty arising from your business dealings and you will not have to record the Henderson business name. In lieu of recording a Clark County trade company name (our filing service fee includes trade name registration and newspaper legal publication for 4 weeks) you can also form a corporation in NV or form an NV LLC (starts @ $49 plus state fee for most states & includes bylaws for the corporation and Limited Liability operating agreement for the LLC that is required to open a business bank account). .
